IVAN RAMLJAK

Ivan Ramljak was born on the 25th of August 1974. For the last 10 years he worked mainly as a journalist and film critic. Apart from that he also organized lots of cultural events (Film Mondays in Močvara club, 1. Human Rights Film Festival Zagreb, DocHouse film nights, music concerts etc....). In the summer of 2007 he participated in Atelje Varan Paris Documentary Workshop that was held in Belgrade, where he made a documentary short '38 Baba Višnjina Street '. That film won the Special mention on Tabor Film Festival for the 2nd best Croatian short film of the year, and 2nd place award on 48th Croatian Film Revue.
In the end of 2008, in a collaboration with Marko Škobalj, he wrote and directed his first professional short fiction film called 'Siget', a part of the omnibus 'Zagreb Stories'.
In the spring of 2009, also with Marko Škobalj, and as a part of Sarajevo City of film project, he made a short fiction film 'Liberation in 26 Pictures', which won the Atlantic group award for the best film of the Sarajevo City of film project, on Sarajevo Film Festival 2009. In 2010 they made a short experimental film IN UTERO.
'The Trap' is their fourth collaboration.

MARKO ŠKOBALJ

mš exploded into the world with the umbilical cord tightly gripping his neck on the 25th of June 1974, Zagreb, Croatia. For the last 11 years mš worked mainly as a copywriter that started in Grey Worldwide, moved on to freelancing and finally ended up in BBDO Zagreb. Have won some awards with his ad stuff, but made many clients happy.
Apart from that, mš did creative writing for fanzines and student magazines; translated comics and fiction; wrote comic book scripts, travelogues; developed characters for digital games; wrote a dozen scripts, poetry and lots of thoughts. Presently mš is preparing a novela and short story collection.
In the summer of 2008, without any formal film education, but loaded with cinephile heart and mind mš participated in Sarajevo Talent Campus after which, in a collaboration with Ivan Ramljak, he co-wrote and co-directed his first professional short fiction film called 'The smartest neighbourhood in the state', a part of the anthology 'Zagreb Stories'.
In the spring of 2009, also in the same creative team, and as a part of Sarajevo City of Film project, mš made a short fiction film 'Liberation in 26 Pictures', which won the Atlantic group award for the best film of the Sarajevo City of Film project on Sarajevo Film Festival 2009. In 2010 they made a short experimental film IN UTERO. 'The Trap' is their fourth collaboration.
